Mr. Arjun Gadre

“Every child matters!” ….  

The generations before including ours – we belonged to an era where we were tested more for our memory. We were rarely encouraged to think on our own, apply our mind or come up with solutions to the problems whether right or wrong. There was one answer, and we were asked to accept it. But the world has changed. In fact the world is witnessing swift transformations in social and technological horizons which simply means children need an education beyond the textbook, yet allowing for their quest for learning and knowledge. We have to do more. Be more!

And how do we do that?

For starters, we allow them to think, we expose them to situations that enable them to make decisions, learn from mistakes and improvise so that they become decision makers and problem solvers who can think on their feet as per the demands of the situation. We teach them by inspiring them, we teach them to think out of the box. We give them freedom and nurture them well at the same time.

We also need to recognise that every child is different and will learn differently with different abilities. It is time we cater to these needs.

It is also important that our children get an opportunity to discover their various talents. Be it sports, drama, Music, literature all accessible in one environment where opportunities are provided under one roof, to allow children the freedom to choose, yet learn effectively and holistically.

And that’s our inspiration for children in Ratnagiri with Sarvankash Vidya Mandir, for Sarvankash means holistic.

“We at Sarvankash Vidya Mandir will provide a conducive environment and an opportunity to our children to grow and Be More than just an academic student. We hope to bring the best in class teachers and teaching techniques to the school. We are building world class infrastructure complete with badminton hall, tennis courts, and a large field for sporting activities. An amphitheatre for performing arts and a musical performances.”


Every child is good at something and that something has to be discovered and allowed to flourish.

We hope to see all our students reach greatest heights in their lives and help build an educated enlightened and empowered citizens.

‘It is a known fact that a better tomorrow requires sound education in addition to food, shelter and clothing. And for us as a family, with our journey and experience, we truly believe that education is not only about syllabus and curriculum that provides degrees and diplomas at the end. Education is and should be about igniting the desire to know, learn and master with development of skills to become a cultured, responsible citizen.

Sarvankash Vidya Mandir is being set up in Ratnagiri to impart these core values to the generation next.

We endeavour to create an environment that will limit the migration and ensure homecoming of the local families, and in fact become a favored destination for those from other parts of the country to settle down as this city has so much to offer in terms of opportunities and resources including a quality life style.

The school houses state of the art teaching facilities, motivated faculty, modern sports training facilities and center to nurture fine arts supervised by competent trainers.

The school believes in a strong communication connect with parents, sharing from time to time the progress of their child. It is a partnership that will ensure that the child is future ready!


 While standards of academic excellence will be a focus area, the endeavour will also be to make sure sports, fine and performing arts gets its due importance. The school will have a benevolent insistence that each student must participate in a sport and cultural activity of his, her preference and proficiency.

The school will live up to the meaning of Sarvankash Vidya Mandir, a place for the holistic learning, place to “BE MORE” in the service of humanity.

“Both, my daughter and my son completed their school education in Ratnagiri at a time when not many options were available for world class schools. Those times have changed and as a family, we hope to bring opportunities to Ratnagiri so that the future generation does not miss out. Today, we speak about individual attention, talent recognition and what each and every child can achieve, if we give them opportunities to explore.

It is heartening for me to see this generation – they are simply more aware, more exposed, alert with natural intelligence. They have their opinions as well as their questions. We need to adapt to their learning styles and use their curiosity to enhance their learning and that’s what we wish to do as a family for children in Ratnagiri.

So for us at SVM, every child matters and our vision is to provide the right education combined with world class teachers and facilities.

By doing so we ensure that every student studying at our school, not only grows academically but individually. As a family, we are all about being all-rounders!
